The artist, Sawsan Badr, revealed her constant thought about retiring from art, explaining that she thinks about retiring daily despite photographing many artistic works, in addition to her talk about the title of star, stressing that she prefers to be called the artist or actress.
Sawsan Badr said, in television statements: The word “star” is for me. I do not know why I am called an artist or an actress, because I feel that my profession is an actress, and through this profession I am able to do important things for people, art, and society, and this is closer to my heart. I believe that the art profession is for those who understand it correctly, and I hope I understand it correctly.
Sawsan Badr continued: I hope my life does not depend on how many light bulbs are lit around me, and my happiness does not depend on how many times my phone rings because a journalist wants news from me, or a producer talks to me about a job, or a fan tells me how much he likes me, because after a while these bulbs will turn off, one after the other, and the mobile phone will stop ringing as much, and the people in the street who take pictures of me will say, and I think I am preparing myself for this stage psychologically.
He added: I am happy that I have prepared myself psychologically, and I ask God to give me the strength to better stand on my feet until the last moment while I am working, and every moment I think about retiring and after that I go to work, and I have never gone to the studio when I am not prepared, no matter how bored I am.
