The Minister of Interior announced Turkish 125 suspects of belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS were arrested in simultaneous operations in 25 governorates.
Turkish Minister Ali Yerli Kaya said in a statement that simultaneous operations were carried out in several cities by regional gendarmerie elements and regional police departments in coordination with the General Command of the Gendarmerie Forces and the General Directorate of Security.
He confirmed the arrest of 125 suspected members of the ISIS terrorist organization in the operations.
Pursuing ISIS cells in Türkiye
Yesterday, the Turkish Interior Minister said that the police arrested 357 suspects of belonging to ISIS in a security operation carried out nationwide, one day after three policemen and six gunmen were killed in an exchange of fire in northwestern Turkey.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya explained, according to Reuters, that the authorities carried out raids in 21 states across the country.
He added in a post on the X platform that Türkiye: Just as it did not give a chance in the past to those trying to bring down the country through terrorism, it will not give them any chance in the future either.
