Disney reveals the heroes of the live-action version of Tangled
Disney revealed that Australian actress Tegan Croft will portray the character of Rapunzel, while young Disney star Milo Manheim will play the role of Flynn Rider, in a realistic re-presentation of the famous 2010 cartoon.

Tegan Croft, known for her remarkable role in the superhero series Titans as White Raven, is one of the most prominent young talents who have succeeded in making a smooth transition between television and cinema. She began her artistic career at an early age, before achieving international fame thanks to her work in recent years.
As for Milo Manheim, he is one of the familiar faces to Disney audiences, after his great success in the Zombies film series since 2018, in addition to his participation in musical and theatrical works that strengthened his presence as an all-round star who combines acting and singing.

The film will be directed by Michael Gracey, director of The Greatest Showman, which indicates Disney’s approach to preserving the musical character that distinguished the animated version. Christine Burr, the producer of Cruella, is also participating in the production, while Jennifer Kayten Robinson is writing the script.
The realistic version of Rapunzel was first announced in December 2024, before the project was frozen in April 2025, but Disney revived the work again in the second half of the year, and conducted final performance tests in London, in preparation for the actual launch of the production stage.
According to previous reports, actress Scarlett Johansson was a candidate to play the character of Mother Gothelb in the movie Tangled, before she later withdrew from the project, while the final name who will play the role has not yet been announced.
It is noteworthy that the original Tangled film was a huge success when it was released in 2010, with revenues exceeding $592 million worldwide, with widespread praise for the songs and characters, whose voices were performed by Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi.
