Days away from us Preparatory certificate exams, first term, 2026 In the governorates, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the time map for the first semester exams for the 2025-2026 academic year, which includes the dates for the transfer grade exams and the certificate of completion of the preparatory stage (preparatory certificate), in preparation for the start of the exams during next January.

This step comes within the framework of the readiness of educational directorates in all governorates to organize the preparatory certificate exams for the first term of 2026, according to the approved time plan.

According to the approved official timetable, exams for the transfer grades (primary and preparatory) begin on Saturday, January 10, 2026, and continue until January 15, 2026 for the transfer grades, provided that the preparatory certificate exams begin as of Saturday, January 17, 2026 and continue until Thursday, January 22, 2026, in all educational directorates across the republic.

The date of the exams comes after the students finish the courses scheduled for the first semester, amid intensive follow-up by the directorates to ensure discipline and regular workflow within the committees.

The preparatory certificate exams are a pivotal point in the academic year map, as they are an important criterion for students’ transition to the secondary stage, as the education directorates stressed the necessity of adhering to the procedures governing the exams, providing the appropriate climate for students, in addition to fully equipping the committees to ensure that the exams begin without obstacles.

The Ministry also specified a mid-year vacation for all students, which begins after the end of the first semester exams on January 24, 2026, and continues until February 5, 2026, during which students stop studying and preparing for exams, and return to complete the second semester at the beginning of February.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that it is carefully following up on all preparations for the exams, in coordination with the educational directorates, to ensure the implementation of all precautionary and organizational measures within the committees, in addition to providing technical and administrative support during the exam period. These exams are also an important indicator for evaluating the level of students in academic courses during the first term, in preparation for their placement at the beginning of study after vacation.

It is noteworthy that the exams include basic subjects and practical subject skills that are scheduled according to the plan of the educational directorates, taking into account that exams are not held on official rest days, in order to ensure achieving the highest levels of fairness and organization for all students.
