Dar Al Fouad Hospital, Nasr City, claimed, in a report issued by the Emergency Department, that young swimmer Youssef Mohamed was connected to the ambulance crew’s automated defibrillator, in order to quickly deal with a case of sudden cardiac arrest, by automatically analyzing the heart rhythm and determining the need for an electric shock, then delivering a calculated and safe shock to reorganize the heart’s electrical activity and return it to a normal rhythm.

The reception report, obtained by Cairo 24, stated that the young swimmer arrived at the hospital via ambulance, and was suffering from cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest, with a doctor accompanying the case alongside the ambulance crew.

The report added that the child was connected to an automated defibrillator belonging to the ambulance crew, and upon handing him over to the emergency room, the medical team completed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation attempts, and the procedures also ended with his transfer to the intensive care unit for complete medical follow-up.

<p>Earlier, the investigation authorities in New Cairo heard the statements of witnesses in the case of the drowning of swimmer Youssef Mohamed, a player for Al-Zohour Club, during the Republic Championship.</p>

The mother of the player Youssef Mohamed, who was drowning in the Al-Zohour Club, added in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: If my son had really lost his mind as they say, he would have joined and lived, and we will not allow misinformation in the case.

The Republic Under-12 Swimming Championship witnessed the death of player Youssef Mohamed, a player from Al-Zohour Club, after he fell in the swimming pool. The Swimming Federation announced in an official statement that the player fainted during the competition, before he was mourned following his death, and a 3-day mourning period was declared for his soul.
