Within the framework of the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Al-Azhar Mosque announced the launch of its specialized and intensive scientific program for foreign students under the title “The Al-Azhar Echo,” which begins its activities starting tomorrow, Wednesday, and continues for two weeks of solid scientific lectures.

This comes within the framework of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s pioneering role in serving Muslim children from all over the world and providing them with the moderate Al-Azhar approach that combines authenticity and modernity.

The program is characterized by an intensive study schedule, covering the entrances to the foundations of the Islamic and Arabic sciences, as it deals with study and analysis: the Islamic sciences and detailed entrances to the science of belief, the science of jurisprudence and its origins, the science of hadith, and the sciences of the Qur’an through studies in the science of interpretation, the science of readings, the history of its origin and the sciences related to it, in addition to the rational and linguistic sciences to address the introduction to the science of logic, and in-depth lessons in the Arabic language and rhetoric. These subjects are explained by an elite group of specialized professors at Al-Azhar University, to ensure the presentation of the material. Scientific studies according to the highest academic and methodological standards.

Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of Scientific Activities of the Al-Azhar Corridor at Al-Azhar Mosque, confirmed that the program represents an intellectual fortress for students, saying: “The Al-Azhar Echo is not just an educational course, but rather a message through which we affirm the universality of Al-Azhar, instill the values ​​of moderation in the souls of incoming students, and protect their minds from extremist ideas, so that they return to their countries as ambassadors of peace and beacons of knowledge and guidance.”

For his part, Dr. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, indicated the complete readiness to receive students, stressing: “This program has been carefully prepared to be a comprehensive introduction to science students, as we seek to shorten the academic distances for expatriates by focusing on the basic keys to each science, and we are waiting for our children tomorrow to begin this scientific journey that will continue for two weeks of continuous giving within the framework of the ancient mosque.”

He pointed out that the program aims to spread moderate thought, confront misconceptions, spread tolerance, and scientific roots by providing students with the correct scientific tools to understand texts, and strengthening the ties between Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and its children of different nationalities.

The Director of Al-Azhar Mosque added that lectures will be held daily in the Abbasid Corridor of Al-Azhar Mosque, with all facilities provided to foreign students to ensure maximum benefit from this distinguished scientific forum.
