This Saturday morning, the skies of the city of Luxor witnessed the launch of 72 flying balloon flights in one of the largest daily operations this season, as the flights carried about 1,500 tourists of different nationalities and ages, in a scene that reflects the strong recovery witnessed by winter tourism in Luxor Governorate this year.
Highest running percentages since the beginning of the season
According to sources in the flying balloon for Cairo 24, the current operating rates are among the highest in recent months, driven by high demand from European and Asian markets, in addition to improving weather conditions that allowed the launch of flights in an intensive and safe manner.
A tourism boom with the entry of the winter season
Balloon company operators confirm that the current winter season opens the door to continued growth in balloon flying programs, which are among the most attractive activities for tourists within the city.
Luxor is firmly back on the global tourism map
Preliminary estimates indicate that Luxor is recording a noticeable increase in hotel occupancy rates and excursion programs during this period, driven by cultural and tourism events, including the beginning of the winter tourist season, in addition to the increasing demand for archaeological sites in the Eastern and Western Pyrenees.
Tourism experts in Luxor believe that the continuation of these indicators will reflect positively on tourism income and the related service sectors within the governorate.

Aviation officials confirmed that the flights were carried out in accordance with international safety standards, with meticulous procedures in place before take-off to ensure a safe and smooth experience for tourists.
Many visitors expressed their satisfaction with the panoramic view afforded by the flying balloon over the temples of Qurna, the Ramesseum, and the Valley of the Kings.
