Civil protection forces were able to control a fire The tallest property in Ghiyat Hamam exploded in one of the properties on Airport Street in the Imbaba area, this Saturday evening, during breakfast time.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire started on the upper floor of the building, before firefighting teams quickly intervened to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the neighboring apartments.

The initial inspection revealed that the cause of the fire was due to an electrical short in a bathroom, but no human casualties were recorded, while some of the contents of the apartment were damaged.

The sources added that civil defense men were able to put out the fire and carry out ventilation of the building, while the security services secured the fire site and opened an investigation to find out the exact details of the incident.
