The match between Al-Ittihad of Alexandria and Kahraba Ismailia in the Egypt Cup is witnessing a charged atmosphere that may lead to major changes within the two technical staffs, after the confrontation turned into a turning point for both parties.
Cairo 24 learned that the officials of the Ismailia Electricity Club have decided once and for all to dismiss Reda Shehata, the team’s technical director, in the event of today’s loss and exit from the Egypt Cup, after the team’s results declined over the past weeks and the administration’s dissatisfaction with the technical form.
Sources within the club confirm that the decision to dismiss Shehata was unanimously approved by board officials, and it is expected that Shehata will be thanked immediately after the match in the event of a loss.
On the other hand, the situation does not seem stable within Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, as sources close to Tamer Mostafa, the coach of Zaim Al-Thaghr, revealed that the coach is seriously considering apologizing for not continuing with the team in the event of loss and exit from the tournament, as a result of the great pressures he has faced since he took over as coach of the team, and the matter extends to his intention to submit his resignation even in the event of victory, during his awaited session with Ahmed Mohamed Salama, the club’s president, in light of the public pressures and the tense atmosphere within the team in the recent period.
