Menoufia Governorate issued Resolution No. (2) of 2026, which stipulates the complete prohibition of the circulation, storage, or use of fireworks of all types and forms within cities, centers, and villages, after they turned from fleeting manifestations of joy into a source of real danger that threatens lives and disturbs the daily life of citizens.
In recent years, fireworks have caused many unfortunate accidents, ranging from serious injuries to amputations and burns, in addition to the terror they cause to children, the elderly, and the sick, in addition to the constant noise that is inconsistent with the sanctity of the month of Ramadan, which necessitated taking this decision to ensure that the holy month passes in an atmosphere of calm and reassurance.
Menoufia Governorate confirmed that the competent executive agencies will intensify their monitoring campaigns on markets and shops, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to control any attempts to trade these games, while confiscating the seized items and taking the necessary legal measures against violators.
