A source within the Zamalek Club revealed that the past few hours witnessed new moves on the part of the club’s management, which represented opening the door to negotiations with one of the French coaches, in preparation for assuming the technical leadership of the first football team during the coming period, in the event that the necessary financial capabilities are available to complete the contract.

The source confirmed to Cairo 24 that the management of the football sector at Zamalek Club is not currently inclined to the option of contracting with a local technical director, preferring to assign the task to a foreign coach in an attempt to avoid the mistakes witnessed in the last stage, whether at the technical or administrative level, which directly affected the team’s results and stability.
The source explained that football sector officials had already entered into preliminary negotiations during the last period with a French coach, but the administration preferred not to announce any details related to the identity of the coach or the progress of the negotiations at the present time, until a final agreement is reached, especially in light of the file being primarily linked to the availability of the financial resources necessary to complete the deal.
He added that the trend within the football sector leans strongly towards the French school in choosing the new technical director, within the framework of a vision that aims to change and move away from the names that were mentioned during previous periods, and which were not widely accepted within the club, as the management seeks to contract with a coach who possesses a different thought and the ability to restore technical discipline within the team.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that the new technical director’s file will not be resolved before resolving the financial dues crisis and providing the required budget, stressing that any official step in this file will remain postponed until the financial vision is completely clear within the club.
