Major General Ramah Al-Sayed, Assistant Secretary General of the Governorate, opened the ceremony Aswan Activities of the “Welcome Ramadan” exhibition for food commodities at reduced prices, organized by the Aswan Directorate of Education, at the headquarters of Ali Nasser Primary School, Aswan Administration.
The opening activities were witnessed by Dr. Rabie Abu Youssef, Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Al-Faisal Abdel Hamid, President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, South Valley Branch, and Professor Manal Abdel Wahab, Undersecretary of the Directorate, along with Faisal Naeem, Director General of Public Education – Sayed Mahmoud, Director General of Technical Education – Muhammad Al-Sanousi, Director General of Educational Services, as well as directors and deputies of educational departments, and a group of educational leaders in the Directorate and educational departments.
Following the cutting of the opening ribbon, the Undersecretary accompanied the Assistant Secretary-General on an inspection tour of the exhibition’s pavilions, which included a variety of goods and products, including (Ramadan yams – different types of dates – legumes – dairy products and their products – meat – poultry – various food products) in addition to works of art and artifacts.
The general departments of general education, technical education and educational services are participating in the exhibition, along with a number of specific departments, such as community education – the productive school – Souad Maher Hotel School – Kom Ombo Agricultural School – Home Economics Direction – Nutrition Department – Agricultural Education Direction – Social Education Direction – Special Education, which reflects the integration of educational efforts.
Providing basic goods at discounted prices
At the conclusion of the tour, Major General Ramah Al-Sayyid praised the level of organization and the quality and diversity of the exhibits, stressing that the exhibition contributes to providing basic goods at reduced prices to citizens, and reflects the societal role of the Directorate of Education.
He also thanked Dr. Rabie Abu Youssef, Undersecretary of the Ministry, and all those organizing the exhibition, appreciating the efforts made in the preparation, organization, and display, offering congratulations to the attendees and the people of Aswan on the occasion of the approaching month of Ramadan, wishing everyone continued success.
