Ahmed Diab’s statements

Ahmed Diab said during television statements with journalist Saif Zaher a short while ago: Merging fan clubs with corporate clubs may reduce the number of league clubs.

Diab explained that this month will witness the announcement of the new partner for the league’s name, stressing that the upcoming agreement will represent a qualitative shift in broadcasting rights, thus achieving greater returns for the clubs.

Diab pointed out that the value of the reward for winning the league will increase significantly next season, reaching an unprecedented number in the history of Egyptian football, in addition to all participating clubs receiving large financial returns.

Diab confirmed that the value of the prize for the Egyptian League champion this season is 5 million pounds, while each club participating in the tournament will receive one million pounds.

He added that stadiums in Egypt are fully open to public attendance, with the exception of Cairo International Stadium and Burj Al Arab Stadium, where only 40,000 fans are allowed to attend, pointing out that the decline in crowds is due to the lack of clubs with a large fan base.
