A massive monitoring campaign in the Al-Bajour Center in Menoufia Governorate resulted in the seizure of an illegal slaughterhouse inside a house in the village of Kafr Al-Ghanamiya, along with a number of dead livestock heads and quantities of entrails unfit for human consumption, as part of the efforts of the executive agencies to protect the health of citizens and tighten control over markets.

The campaign came in implementation of the directives of Major General Amr Al-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, to intensify inspection campaigns on markets and food establishments, to control violations and ensure the safety of the supply of goods and meat in order to preserve the health of citizens.

The campaign was led by Fathi Shalabi, head of the center and city of Al-Bajour, accompanied by Mohamed Ezzat, vice president of the center for village affairs, and with the participation of a joint committee that included representatives of veterinary medicine, the supply department, the police station, and the local unit of Bay Al-Arab, along with environmental officials.

During a field visit to a number of markets and establishments in the village of Kafr al-Ghanamiya, the campaign was able to control a slaughterhouse operating illegally inside a house, where a dead goat and a number of heads of livestock were found inside it, in addition to rotten livers and hearts that were not fit for human consumption.

Immediately, the seized items were seized and the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators, while the necessary reports were drawn up in preparation for presenting them to the competent authorities.

The head of the center and city of Al-Bajour confirmed the continuation of periodic and intensive monitoring campaigns to control such violations, stressing that any establishments or individuals that tamper with the health of citizens or trade in products that are not fit for consumption will not be tolerated, in order to preserve the safety of citizens and ensure the arrival of safe food to them.
