The extremist Israeli Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque on the first Friday of the month of Ramadan, amid heavy guard from the occupation police.
Video clips revealed that Bit Gvir stormed the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate side, accompanied by the Inspector General of the Occupation Police, Danny Levy, and the Commander of the Occupation Police in Jerusalem, Avshalom Peled, according to what was reported by the official Palestinian News Agency, Wafa.
Ben Gvir made inflammatory statements against the Palestinians in front of officers and members of the occupation police.
The Jerusalem Governorate said that Bin Ghafir’s storming of the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and his statements come in light of the occupation’s escalation of its military measures and restrictions imposed on worshipers in occupied Jerusalem.
This comes amid severe Israeli restrictions on Al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of the month of Ramadan. Despite these restrictions, 80,000 people performed the first Friday prayer of the month of Ramadan in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem.
