The Darfur region is witnessing Sudan A deteriorating humanitarian situation, with a large number of citizens trapped inside the city of El Fasher, especially the elderly and women, while young people are prevented from leaving the city, despite the lack of basic services, including medical personnel and hospitals, which doubles the suffering of civilians, in addition to the continuation of attacks and ethnic cleansing operations in some areas.

According to Sudanese media, displacement operations continue from the city of El Fasher, with large numbers of displaced people arriving to safer areas, most notably the city of Al-Dabba in the northern state and the Tawila region, at a time when the Sudanese army is seeking to secure these areas in conjunction with its ongoing confrontations with the Rapid Support militia in South, Kordofan and West Kordofan.

In this regard, Sudanese Prime Minister Kamel Idris said, during an inspection visit to the displaced in the northern state, that the war will end with the victory of the army.

Idris condemned what happened in Darfur, describing it as unprecedented crimes, and that the criminals will not escape punishment, stressing the need for the international community to support the displaced and stop the support the Rapid Support militia receives to continue the war and destabilize citizens.

Military confrontations continue in Kordofan

This comes in light of escalating tensions, as military confrontations continue in Kordofan, especially in the cities of Bara and Bara Al-Nusa, where the Rapid Support militia uses civilians as human shields, while the Sudanese army continues to strengthen its military presence to control the affected areas.

The general scene in Darfur and Kordofan remains turbulent, with continued displacement and clashes, amid severe civilian suffering, while the international community calls for urgent action to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.
