Alaa Nabil, the technical director of the Football Association, is preparing to return to his previous position at Z Club, after Al-Jabaliya’s decision to hire a technical director for the Federation during the coming period.

Cairo 24 learned from its sources that Alaa Nabil is close to returning to his position in the youth sector at Z Club, which he held before his departure to the Football Association to assume the position of technical director of Al-Jabaliya.
It is expected that Alaa Nabil will return to head the youth sector at Z Club during the coming period, after his departure from Al-Jabaliya.
Earlier, Cairo 24 learned from its sources that the Egyptian Football Association, led by engineer Hani Abu Raida, had concluded negotiations with a foreign technical director for Al-Ittihad instead of Alaa Nabil.
This came on the sidelines of preparations for the upcoming African Cup of Nations competitions in Morocco, as well as the 2026 World Cup in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
The Football Association’s Board of Directors, headed by Hani Abu Rida, decided to employ a foreign technical director for the Federation during the next stage, succeeding the current technical director, Alaa Nabil, whom the opinion decided to thank.
In another context, private sources confirmed to Cairo 24 that the Football Association decided to postpone the formation of the local team until after contracting with the new foreign technical director, provided that this happens in conjunction with the stability of the technical administration and the formation of the supporting staff, which will include foreign and Egyptian elements.
