Earlier, Cairo 24 highlighted the story of the struggle of Uncle Sayed, who has been working for decades in the Friday market in Ismailia, relying on “Al-Barwaita” to transport citizens’ purchases, refusing to receive any charity, and adhering to honorable work despite his old age and health problems.
Uncle Sayed starts his day in the early hours of the morning and continues working until the afternoon call to prayer, returning with a small daily income not exceeding 100 pounds, which he spends on his family and supports his daughter, who is still in education.
Uncle Sayed hopes to have a surgical operation that will help him continue his life better, in addition to realizing his dream of performing Umrah. He is awaiting actual steps that translate this official move into real support that guarantees him a decent life worthy of his generosity and self-esteem.
