Lawyer Ashraf Farahat filed an official complaint against the father of the content creator known as “Karwaan Shashala,” accusing him of misusing social media sites and broadcasting phrases that he considered offensive to a sovereign entity during a live broadcast clip.

Farhat stated in the report that the defendant made – according to the report – accusations sent without providing evidence, which may be considered an insult to a regulatory body, noting that the law criminalizes publishing or broadcasting news or statements that would offend state institutions or affect public peace.
He added that the phrases included in the clip, in addition to the threat of suicide during the broadcast, represent – according to what was stated in the communication – an attempt to arouse and incite public opinion, demanding that the necessary legal measures be taken and an investigation into the incident.
