Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, directed a study of the case of the son of a worker at Qus Central Hospital in Qena Governorate, who was forced to leave studying medicine in Sudan about 3 years ago due to financial circumstances, in preparation for providing him with the necessary support and assistance, according to sources told Cairo 24.

Earlier, Cairo 24 published Al-Amliyya’s call for help to the governor of Qena, explaining that her son was studying at the Faculty of Medicine in Sudan, but he was forced to leave school in the third year due to her inability to repay a loan she obtained, noting that she works under a contract, and that her son’s cessation of studies affected his academic future.

During his tour to open the pediatric intensive care unit at the hospital, Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, heard the worker’s complaint, and directed the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Sadiq, to ​​assign a legal affairs specialist to follow up on the student’s condition and study ways to deal with it within the legal framework.

The governor stressed the importance of examining such cases during field tours, and dealing with them in accordance with the law and regulating procedures, noting the state’s interest in supporting students from families with difficult financial circumstances to ensure their educational future.
