The players of the first team football club are waiting Zamalek, Their late financial dues will be paid tomorrow, Sunday, according to the recent agreement made between the players and John Edward, the club’s sporting director, during the past few days.

A source within the Zamalek club confirmed, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that the team’s players are awaiting the disbursement of all their late financial dues, or at least a large part of them, in light of the repeated promises they received during the last period without actual implementation.
The source explained that the club management had promised the players more than once to pay the dues, but those promises were not implemented due to the inability of the officials to secure the necessary financial liquidity each time.
The source added that the players received an official promise to pay their dues on January 18, which is the date scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, and that this will be done before entering the stage of serious preparation for the upcoming match between Al-Masry and Port Said, in the third round of the group stage of the African Confederation Cup.
The technical staff of Zamalek had given the players a passive rest for two days, following their recent victory over Al-Masry of Port Said, with a score of two unanswered goals, in the final round of the Egyptian Capital Cup. Despite this victory, Zamalek officially bid farewell to the tournament after failing to qualify for the next round, in light of the group results.
During the current period, Zamalek is preparing to face Al-Masry Al-Port Said scheduled for January 25, within the African Confederation Cup competitions, as the match represents an important milestone in the team’s journey in the group stage, during which it seeks to achieve a positive result that enhances its chances of competing to qualify for the next round.
