Mustafa Abu Zahra, a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed that Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national team, requested, since the UAE camp, to hold the preparation camp for the African Cup of Nations early, provided that it be within the goal project, refusing to hold any external camps.

Abu Zahra said, in television statements, that Hossam Hassan praised the capabilities available within the Target project, stressing that he prefers to work within it only because of the appropriate atmosphere and technical stability it provides.
Mustafa Abu Zahra added that the goal project includes a building dedicated to the first team, noting that Hani Abu Raida had long dreamed of establishing an integrated center for the national teams comparable to what the major football countries have.
Mustafa Abu Zahra explained that the President of the French Football Federation had previously visited the Goal project and praised the capabilities and infrastructure available in it, which reflects the value of the project at the international level.
The Football Association member pointed out that Hani Abu Rida’s presence with the national team during the Agadir camp gave the players a strong morale boost, stressing that Abu Rida promised to present the best version of Hossam Hassan as technical director during the upcoming African Nations Championship.
Mustafa Abu Zahra revealed that Hossam Hassan was keen to hold individual sessions with the national team players, where he would meet with the defense players separately, as well as the midfield and attack players, within the framework of precise technical work and raising the level of focus.
He concluded his statements by emphasizing that Hossam Hassan is adopting a major project to develop the national team, and is following up on a number of youth national team players in preparation for benefiting from them in the future, expressing his optimism about the upcoming tournament in light of the new planning for Egyptian football and Egypt’s possession of major stars, both at the training and player levels.
