A young man suffered various injuries, today, Thursday, as a result of a small gas cylinder explosion inside a room on the roof of one of the properties in the Al-Basateen area, which resulted in the collapse of the wall of the room and the outbreak of a limited fire.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred while the injured person was cooking food on a stove operated by a small gas cylinder. There was a gas leak from the cylinder that led to the room being saturated with gas. When the stove was lit, a fire ignited inside the room and an explosion occurred, causing one of its walls to collapse.
The injured person was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary aid, while the fire was dealt with and controlled, and the necessary legal measures were taken, while the competent authorities were notified to initiate the investigation.
In a separate context, civil protection forces were able to control a fire that broke out inside a residential apartment in the Manial Shiha area of the Al-Munib Police Department in Giza Governorate, and fire engines moved to control the fire in Giza.

The security services in Giza received a notification from the emergency operations room stating that a fire had broken out inside one of the residential apartments in the area, and civil protection forces, supported by fire trucks, moved to the location of the report.
A security cordon was imposed around the fire to contain it before it spread to neighboring properties, while the accident resulted in material damage inside the apartment, and it was brought under control and a report was filed regarding the incident.
