A fisherman was killed and 7 others were injured, today, in a collision between two pickup trucks on the Damietta-Mataria road in Dakahlia Governorate.

The Director of Dakahlia Security received a notification from the Director of Criminal Investigation stating that an accident had occurred. A security force and three ambulances immediately moved to the site of the collision. The injured were transferred to the Matareya Central Hospital to receive treatment, while the body of the deceased, Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sayyid Al-Jamil, 51 years old, was deposited in the mortuary.
While Al-Jawhari Al-Jawhari Ahmed, 60 years old, was injured with a suspected fracture of the lumbar vertebrae, Al-Daoudi Abdullah Al-Qenawi, 68 years old, with a suspected post-concussion injury and a severe head injury, Muhammad Al-Wahidi Sultan, 40 years old, with a suspected fracture of the ribs and a concussion, Ahmed Al-Gharib Sultan, 25 years old, with a suspected concussion, a bruise on the chest, and abrasions, and Muhammad Youssef Youssef. Al-Badawi, 40 years old, with a suspected fracture of the left arm, Musaad Saad Ibrahim, 51 years old, with a suspected fracture of the left leg, and Wadih Musaad Al-Gohary, 23 years old, with a suspected post-concussion injury.
The necessary report was prepared, and the incident was presented to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations.
