Major General Hossam El-Din Ahmed Al-Dah, Director of Suez Security, had received a report of a fire breaking out inside a scrap warehouse in the middle of the residential block in the Kafr Houda area, and he immediately directed the Civil Protection Forces to quickly move to the location of the report.
Civil Protection dispatched a number of fire engines, accompanied by three ambulances, and the fire was contained and controlled before it spread to neighboring residential properties. Firefighters also carried out the necessary cooling work to ensure that the fire would not renew.
A source told Cairo 24 that a report has been filed regarding the incident, and the necessary legal measures are being taken, with warehouse officials summoned, as it is unlicensed and represents a danger to the safety of citizens in the area.
