Contestant Mohamed Sami’s exit from today’s episode of the State of Recitation program caused a number of social users to criticize reader Taha Al-Nomani, as a number of them considered him to be the one responsible for his exit after the debate that took place between them in the episode.

During the episode, a simple debate took place between the contestant, Muhammad Sami, and the reader, Taha Al-Nomani, which came as follows:
- Sheikh Taha: And when My servants ask you about Me, then I am near. I answer the call of the supplicant when he calls upon me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me, so that they may be guided. Our Lord. The one who addresses our master the Prophet, and you said: And when My servants ask you about Me, then I am near.
- For the contestant to respond: It is assumed: I am near. I respond to the call of the supplicant when he supplicates. However, it is permissible to begin with: I respond to the call of the supplicant when he supplicates.
- Laird Al-Numani replied: I said if you want to read correctly, read the interpretation of the verses, it will guide you to the stopping and starting, and the scholars who put forward and worked hard to establish the stopping and starting, so I came and said it is permissible and I learned from our master Sheikh Hassan.
Contestant Muhammad Sami received the lowest score during today’s episode, as he obtained 262 marks, some of which entered into a competition with contestant Ali Othman, ending with Othman being chosen and Sami exiting permanently.

After that, some criticized Al-Nomani, as they considered him the one responsible for the exit of the contestant, Muhammad Sami. Muhammad Saeed wrote on his Facebook account: The first time I saw you, Sheikh Taha Al-Numani, you treated someone unfairly, and I was very upset with you. You were and still are the closest reader to my heart. Whenever I see you with joy, the whole world rejoices. I did not expect a position like this from you. Muhammad Sami is unjust. I felt that Sheikh Muhammad Sami read (O “Man has not deceived you from your Lord, the Most Generous.” What is meant is, Sheikh Taha, because you have wronged him.
Meanwhile, Yasser Awaida wrote on his Facebook account: We demand that Sheikh Muhammad Sami return to the State of Recitation competition again, and that Sheikh Taha Al-Numani be removed from judging the competition.
Contestant Muhammad Sami participated in today’s episode of the State of Recitation program, where a number of committee members praised the recitation of contestant Muhammad Sami.
The committee’s opinions were as follows:
-The representative of the Qur’an Review Committee: His reading is beautiful, his voice is strong, and his tone is excellent.. but he has one line in which he made two starts and stopped two stops.. but the rest of the reading is beautiful.
-Taha Abdel Wahhab: With your greetings, you have finished with a verse, but you are supposed to conclude with a verse. The recitation in its entirety is beautiful and touches the heart.
