
The Chinese Earthquake Networks Center announced the registration of its monitoring centers earthquakeA magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale struck southern Xinjiang.
Later, the National Seismological Center in Pakistan announced that an earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale struck Sibi district in Balochistan province, located southwest of the country, without immediate news of material or human losses.
The National Center reported – according to the Pakistani Sama TV channel in its English version – that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 50 kilometers southwest of Sibi District, and at a depth of ten kilometers.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan is located on the border between the tectonic plates of India and Eurasia, which makes it vulnerable to earthquakes.
