Engineer Muhammad Shimi confirmed, Minister of Business Sector In general, the exports of public business sector companies in Egypt approached the billion-dollar barrier during the fiscal year 2024-2025.

The minister explained, in press statements on the sidelines of his participation in the Al-Ahram Energy Conference held in Cairo, that the value of exports recorded about $950 million, equivalent to approximately 40% of the total revenues of companies affiliated with the Ministry.
He pointed out that about 40 companies affiliated with the public business sector are already engaged in export activity, or a portion of their production is directed to foreign markets, explaining that the Ministry is working to maintain the current customer base in international markets, while fully adhering to the approved standards and specifications, within the framework of a plan aimed at achieving export sustainability and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products.
The Minister of Business Sector revealed that the sector’s total revenues during the fiscal year 2024-2025 amounted to about 126 billion pounds, noting that the ministry is implementing a package of structural reforms, including employment files and corporate restructuring, with the aim of supporting the continuity of activity and improving the efficiency of financial and operational performance.
