visionOS 26.4 is poised to add a new experience for Apple Vision Pro users, bringing one of the world’s most advanced flight simulators to the device for the first time.
This comes thanks to support for Nvidia CloudXR 6.0 technology, which allows immersive experiences to be broadcast directly from powerful computers or from the cloud to the device.
With this update, flight simulator X-Plane 12 will become available on Apple Vision Pro via a companion app coming to the App Store. Once the app is launched, the system will be able to automatically detect the device and broadcast the flying experience to it.

Technologies such as ARKit will also allow the real and virtual worlds to be merged by precisely tracking cockpit positions, providing a more realistic and immersive flight experience, especially when using existing flight simulation equipment.
X-Plane 12 is expected to be just the beginning of more immersive simulation experiences that the visionOS 26.4 update will bring in the future.
