Xiaomi launched a new economical smartphone that supports fifth generation networks, expanding its famous phone series. The new Redmi 15A 5G phone combines practical specifications and an affordable price, as it is distinguished by support for adding external memory cards and containing a 3.5 mm audio port, in addition to providing it with a giant battery, a fast-responsive screen, and a pledge to provide software and security updates until 2032.
Xiaomi is expanding the Redmi 15 family of phones again by adding this new version after its success in launching previous devices such as Redmi 15 4G and Redmi 15 5G, in addition to Redmi 15C 4G and Redmi 15C 5G, which is available at a price of 204 US dollars. The new version relies on the Unisoc T8300 processor manufactured with 6nm technology, coupled with 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4X random access memory to provide smooth performance.
The Unisoc processor includes two ARM Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of 2 GHz, with a Mali-G57 MP2 graphics processor with a frequency of up to 950 MHz. Xiaomi supplies its new phone with a huge 6,300 mAh battery that supports 15-watt wired charging and 7.5-watt reverse charging, and the experience is completed with a 6.9-inch IPS screen with 720p resolution and supports a 120 Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 800 lumens.

The imaging system includes an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 lens aperture for taking clear selfies and a single 32-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 lens aperture for recording everyday moments. The new phone runs on the HyperOS 3.0 operating system, based on the modern Android 16 system, and Xiaomi promises its users to provide four major updates to the operating system throughout its operation, in addition to continuous security patches extending until 2032 to ensure the protection of user data for a very long period.
Official sales of this new phone will begin next April 3, with three different memory configurations and three attractive colors at launch. The price of the basic version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space starts from 12,999 Indian rupees, which is equivalent to 137 US dollars, while the price of the higher version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space reaches 16,499 Indian rupees, or 175 US dollars. Xiaomi has not yet revealed the date of its availability in global markets.
