Samsung announced the new generation of its portable projector, The Freestyle, during CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
The device features an increase in brightness to 550 lumens, compared to 230 lumens in the previous version, with support for displaying a 1080p image and a size of up to 100 inches. It runs on Tizen OS, and supports streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube, as well as the Gaming Hub for playing cloud games without the need for a console.
The device includes Auto Keystone and Auto Focus technologies for automatic image adjustment, and a Smart Calibration feature that uses the phone’s camera to adjust colors and brightness. Provides 360-degree surround sound through a built-in 5W speaker.
The device runs on an external battery that provides up to 3 hours of operation, and supports charging via a 65-watt USB-C port. Maintains a compact design with a 180-degree rotatable base to direct viewing.
Samsung hasn’t announced the device’s price or exact availability date, but the previous version was priced at $599 at launch.
