Ahead of CES, Samsung today unveiled the new Freestyle+ portable projector. The device comes with a maximum brightness of 430 lumens ISO, which is an appropriate level for use in a dark room, but it may not be sufficient in the presence of ambient lighting. However, this brightness is almost double what Samsung offered in the previous generation, which is a noticeable improvement.

The Freestyle+ features a 180-degree swivel design, allowing for viewing from virtually any angle, including on walls, ceilings and even floors, without the need for any additional accessories. It also has a built-in 360-degree speaker, designed to produce richer, fuller sound in a compact body.

It can also work in sync with compatible Samsung audio devices via Q-Symphony, to deliver a more coordinated and deeper audio experience wherever the device is used.

The device comes with the 3D Auto Keystone feature that automatically corrects distortions even when projecting onto uneven surfaces such as corners, curtains, or slanted walls.

The Real-time Focus system also ensures that the focus is constantly adjusted while the device is moving or rotating, while maintaining a clear and stable image without optical distortion.

Screen Fit automatically adjusts the image to fit the screen area when using a display, while Wall Calibration analyzes the color and pattern of the display surface to reduce any visual distortion and ensure clearer viewing.

The Freestyle+ device is scheduled to be available during the first half of 2026, and will be displayed at the Samsung booth during CES, while the company has not yet announced its price.
