Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Z TriFold phone last December in South Korea, and followed it by launching it in the United States this January.

Although it was the company’s first tri-fold phone, it was not the first of its kind on the market. However, the latest local reports indicate that sales of this luxury phone are about to end.

According to a report from Donga, sales of the Galaxy Z TriFold in the Korean market will end tomorrow, March 17. Insiders believe that the reason is due to high production costs and unstable memory and storage prices, which made continuing the sale financially unfeasible.

It is worth noting that Samsung said from the beginning that the phone would be available in limited quantities, so the end of sales is not surprising, especially since the company stated that the phone was more of a luxurious technical offering and not a product for the mass market.

As for the United States, the sale period is still unclear, as the report indicates that the current batch may be the last, but sales will continue until supplies run out.

The price of the phone is $2,899 and is sold in limited quantities, and it is currently available only on the Samsung Store, which has been the only outlet for sale since its launch at the end of January.

It should be noted that there were some reports of damage to phone screens, as the company offered a refund instead of a replacement.

So far, Samsung has not issued any official statement regarding the end of sales in Korea or the United States, so this information should be treated with caution.
