Miyoo may be developing a new clamshell (foldable) design laptop with some interesting design options. The leaked images show that the mobile device not only has a removable battery, but it also borrows some features from the TrimUI Brick device.

TrimUI is rumored to be developing a foldable clamshell device similar to the “Retroid Pocket Flip 2”. Now, CAD renders of another clamshell device have surfaced online, and while this laptop is reportedly designed by Miyoo, there are aspects of its design that appear to have been copied from TrimUI.

The images show that the portable device will have a form factor similar to the Game Boy Advance SP. As expected, the device has a D-Pad, ABXY buttons, and two capsule-shaped buttons above the D-pad that appear to be “Start” and “Select” buttons. However, there are also three round buttons, surrounded by a speaker grille on each side.

The placement of these buttons is often associated with TrimUI mobile devices, but the markings on the buttons are different. While TrimUI uses its three round buttons for Options, Start, and Select, the buttons on this mobile device are labeled with a circle, square, and triangle, and their functions are currently unknown.

The similarities to TrimUI don’t stop there, as there’s a textured toggle switch just above the power button on the right side of the device. This is similar to the switch on the side of the TrimUI Brick (available on Amazon for $79.99).

The images also show that the mobile device has two LED lights in the upper right corner just like the “Miyoo Mini Flip”. Other features of the clamshell include in-line shoulder buttons, an audio jack, two USB ports, two TF card slots, and two small buttons between the audio jack and the USB-C port at the bottom. Another interesting feature of the mobile device is that it has a removable battery door, which is unusual for mobile devices.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the development of the device, so it is impossible to say whether this is just a concept or is under active development.
