Although the leaks did not reveal the final name of the phone explicitly, it is expected that it will bear the name Redmi K100 Pro Max, following the company’s usual approach to naming. The source indicated that the expected phone will rely on a highly advanced processor with a manufacturing accuracy of 2 nanometers, and it is very likely that it will be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor from Qualcomm, to provide a noticeable leap in performance.
To know the extent of this expected development, we find that the previous standard version of the series was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, while the most powerful version, the K90 Pro Max, relied on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, manufactured with a precision of 3 nanometers. The move to 2 nanometer accuracy in the new phone represents a huge step that ensures its clear superiority over all previous versions in energy efficiency and speed.
In terms of photography, the leaks revealed that the phone will witness an exceptional upgrade by providing it with a new 200-megapixel primary camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. It is expected that the camera setup will also include a 50-megapixel periscope zoom lens, significantly superior to its predecessor, which was limited to a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup for all lenses.
