Recent leaks revealed many specifications for the next generation Motorola foldable phone, which will come with a clamshell design, as the device is expected to be launched later this year under the name Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, while it will bear the name Razr Ultra 2026 in North America. These leaks come after Motorola’s recent launch of the Razr Fold phone internationally, which is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, making this new version one of three foldable phones that the company intends to launch during this season, with expectations of providing noticeable improvements in battery life compared to last year’s version despite the lack of radical changes in other technical aspects.
The sites provided a comprehensive overview of the internal hardware that will support this pioneering version, as it was reported that Motorola decided to provide the phone with a 50-megapixel primary camera, along with a front camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera with the same resolution, which matches the camera setup in the previous Razr 60 Ultra phone, which is available at a price of 699 US dollars. It seems that the company will rely again on the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm to ensure strong and stable performance instead of moving to the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in this version.
The most important upgrade in this phone is highlighted by relying on a larger battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which provides an increase in capacity of about 6 percent compared to last year’s phone, with support for fast wired charging technology with a capacity of 68 watts to reduce waiting times. The new phone will retain the same measurements as the previous screens, with a 4-inch external screen and a 6.9-inch foldable internal screen. It will also continue to rely on the IP48 standard for dust and water resistance without any change, while the details regarding official prices and exact availability dates in the markets are still unknown at this moment.
