Motorola is gearing up to launch two high-end smartphones soon, the X70 Air Pro in China and the Signature globally. Both phones are powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, raising expectations that they may in fact be the same device being offered under different names in multiple markets, just like the X70 Air which was sold as the Edge 70 in some regions.

Today, the X70 Air Pro phone received TENAA certification in China, confirming its support for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and 5G connectivity. The phone features dimensions of 162.1 x 76.4 x 7 mm and a weight of 187 grams.

The device comes with a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1264 x 2780, and a battery with a rated capacity of 5100 mAh, with a larger capacity expected to be announced for actual use. The phone will be offered in 8, 12, and 16 GB RAM versions, and 256, 512 GB, and 1 TB storage space.

The phone includes three 50-megapixel rear cameras, including a periscopic telephoto camera according to rumors, and a 50-megapixel front camera as well. It also has a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. The phone is expected to run Android 16 upon launch.
