During the MWC 2026 conference, Motorola revealed the full specifications of the Razr Fold phone, the company’s first foldable phone with a book design, to directly compete with the Honor Magic V6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
In this version, Motorola focuses on two basic elements instead of pursuing the thinnest possible design: cameras and battery capacity. The thickness of the phone is 4.6 mm when open and 9.9 mm when folded, with a weight of 244 grams, which makes it thinner than some competitors and a little thicker than the Magic V6, but it is still in the thin category.
Motorola provides the device with an 8.1-inch LTPO internal screen with a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 6,200 nits, along with a 6.6-inch pOLED external screen with a 165Hz rate and a brightness of 6,000 nits. The two screens support HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 10-bit colors.
The company puts a huge battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh, which is one of the largest in this category, with support for 80 watts wired charging, 50 watts wireless charging, in addition to 5 watts reverse charging.
Motorola is betting strongly on the imaging system, as it relies on three rear cameras with a resolution of 50 megapixels each: a main camera with a Sony LYTIA 828 sensor with optical stabilization, a periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 122-degree ultra-wide lens with macro support.
The phone supports 8K video recording with Dolby Vision. The unification of resolution across all rear lenses is a rare step in the foldable phone category.
The phone is based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage capacity, and Motorola promises seven years of Android and security updates. It also optionally supports the Moto Pen Ultra stylus.
Motorola sets the price in Europe at 1,999 euros, with availability starting in the coming weeks, then arriving later in other markets.
With this release, Motorola balances strong performance, an advanced imaging system, and a large battery inside a still slim body, to deliver one of the most complete foldable phones this year.
