Microsoft said it is investigating an authentication outage with Office 365, preventing users from accessing some of the company’s most widely used services, including Office.com, Outlook.com and Teams.

The company’s status update dashboard on its website said status. azure The problem started in the hour 12:25 Saudi time and has mostly affected consumer users around the world over the past few hours. The company said some government users may also be affected.

In a series of tweets, Microsoft said it attempted to fix the issue, but was forced to revert its changes after the fix failed.

By the hour 3:40 A.M. Saudi time Microsoft said it “sees improvement in multiple services” after “redirecting traffic to alternative infrastructure to improve user experience as we continue to investigate the issue.”

Users in Australia are still unable to access their online services.
