Xiaomi has launched the Mi Home Water Purifier 2 1200G water purifier in China. Designed for the kitchen, this new smart home device purifies and dispenses water on demand. Features include a smart touch faucet with a built-in display and monitoring of water consumption and quality via the app.
The Xiaomi Mi Home Water Purifier 2 1200G water purifier has arrived in China. This is the latest model to join the brand’s range of smart water purifiers, following previous launches such as the Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier 1200G and Mijia S1 1200G Water Purifier.
Xiaomi’s new Mi Home Water Purifier 2 water purifier is designed to be installed in the kitchen sink. Before being distributed, the water passes through a dual-core filtration system, which is said to remove 145 different contaminants. The reverse osmosis (RO) filter cartridge is replaceable and should last for seven years.
According to Xiaomi, the Mi Home Water Purifier 2’s high flow rate of 3.2L/min will allow you to fill a cup with fresh water in about 2.5 seconds. The water output level can be controlled through the smart touch faucet. Here, you can also view the total dissolved solids (TDS) value of the water, which is a sign of quality, on the screen. In addition, thanks to HyperOS Connect, users can monitor water usage, dissolved solids value, and filter usage through the Xiaomi app.
In China, the Xiaomi Mi Home Water Purifier 2 1200G water purifier retails for 1,999 Chinese yuan, or about $292. It is unclear if or when this model will be released in other markets such as Europe, where the brand already sells a range of smart home products. These include the smart water dispenser (hot and cold) currently available for €129.99 in the Xiaomi store in Germany.
