WhatsApp stickers
is a whole new feature in WhatsApp, allowing you to send a variety of weird and wonderful photos to your friends and family in private and group chats.
Just like sending GIFs or emojis, note that this service is somewhat hidden and not everyone is able to find it on WhatsApp, which means that you may not know how you can send these stickers to your friends.

This feature appeared in late 2018, so if you have not updated your WhatsApp application you may need to download the latest version of the program in order to be able to access the stickers. We recommend updating the application before starting the next part of this explanation. It also works differently depending on whether you are using an iPhone or an Android device.

How to send stickers in WhatsApp for Android
If you own an Android phone, you’ll find stickers hiding under the emoji face at the bottom left corner. You may have used this on a regular basis to send emojis or even GIFs in WhatsApp, but now it’s where the stickers are too.
The stickers logo is a small square with the right and lower corner slightly trimmed, and if you tap on it, you will be greeted with one of the recently used stickers or more likely the phrase “You haven’t used any stickers yet”, so you will then have to download some sticker packs to be able to send them to friends, so tap on the + icon.
From the right, you will go to see all the stickers as in the picture.
You’ll find a bunch of stickers you can send, but you have to hit the download button before you can send any of them. Don’t worry, these stickers don’t cost a lot of internet and size.

How to send stickers in WhatsApp for iPhone
The stickers section on the iPhone is easier to find than the counterpart in Android, in a box in the text entry at the bottom of the chat, there will be a small box with a cut-out part in the corner near the emoji button.
Tap the icon for the stickers, look through them and decide what you want to download and send from your phone.
You will need to tap on the (+) sign to see which one you can download and then the downward facing arrow. Download the pack you want. When you download it, you will be able to swipe down from the top of the screen and the new stickers will appear ready. Be careful when you tap on one, the sticker will be sent automatically without getting a preview beforehand.
