Google has provided a major upgrade to its Nano Banana image generation and editing feature, with the launch of the new version, Nano Banana Pro, based on the Gemini 3 Pro that the company revealed yesterday.
This edition aims to help you easily visualize or design any idea, whether it’s prototyping, infographics, or turning handwritten notes into clear diagrams.
Nano Banana Pro generates images that are more accurate and richer in detail based on improved understanding, knowledge of the world, and instant access to information.
It can also create precise educational explanations supported by informative infographics, based on the content you provide or available facts from the real world. It can also be linked to the Google search service to create quick summaries of recipes or to display live information such as weather conditions or match results.
Google confirms that Nano Banana Pro is its best model for generating text within images with clear, readable quality. It allows for more detailed text on posters and prototypes, with a greater variety of fonts, textures, and type styles.
Thanks to Gemini’s multilingual capabilities, the model can produce texts in different languages, in addition to the ability to translate and customize content for each region.
Nano Banana Pro can merge up to 14 images and maintain similarity accuracy for five people in one image.
It also allows any part of the image to be selected and modified or transformed with greater precision, whether by changing the camera angle, adjusting the focus point, applying advanced color processing, or modifying the entire lighting, all through text guidance only. The model is available in a wide range of optical ratios and with resolutions of up to 2K and 4K.
The Nano Banana Pro will be rolled out globally within the Gemini app through the “Create images” option within the Thinking module. Free users get limited quotas, after which the system reverts to the original non-Pro Nano Banana version. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers receive higher shares.
Nano Banana Pro is also available in the US to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers via AI Mode in Google Search, as well as global availability within NotebookLM subscribers.
