Ghiath El-Din Street in the First District of Tanta, Gharbia Governorate, witnessed a tragic incident, as two children were killed as a result of a fire breaking out inside a residential apartment due to an electrical short circuit, and the two bodies were transferred to the morgue to take the necessary legal measures.
Fire inside an apartment
The security services in the Gharbia Security Directorate had received notification that a fire had broken out inside a residential apartment in the area, and the civil protection forces in Gharbia, supported by a number of fire engines and ambulances, moved to the scene of the fire, where they were able to control the fire and contain the fire before it spread to neighboring apartments.
Upon examination, it was found that two children, aged 7 and 5, died as a result of suffocation inside the apartment when a fire broke out inside a residential apartment in Tanta.
The two bodies were transferred to the morgue, and forensic medicine and forensic evidence were assigned to examine the location of the fire and determine its circumstances, while the necessary legal measures were taken.
