Google recently launched the Gemini 3 Pro AI model, as well as the Nano Banana Pro based on it. From the beginning, free users of Gemini got access to up to five queries per day, the same limit as in Gemini 2.5 Pro. Free users are also allowed to use Nano Banana Pro to produce three photos per day.
However, the past few days have seen these boundaries adjusted, and things have become more ambiguous. The official website noted that users without the AI Pro or AI Ultra payment plans get “basic access” to the Gemini 3 Pro, and the same applies to the Nano Banana Pro.

It’s clear that Google wants to push users toward subscribing to AI Pro or AI Ultra plans, but it also appears that the company is experiencing significant usage growth at an accelerating rate.
However, it remains positive that the company is offering some free usage of the newer model without being restricted to paid plans.
