Lenovo has confirmed that it will showcase the ThinkPad Rollable

Based on introductory materials, the ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept relies on a vertically stretchable display, allowing the screen size to be changed depending on the task at hand.

This design is expected to contribute to improving workflows that would normally benefit from additional vertical space, such as document editing, programming, or multitasking, without increasing the size of the device when closed.

Lenovo describes this device as part of its broader research into smart and context-aware shapes, rather than as a commercial product. So far, the company has not announced any technical specifications, price, or date of availability of the device.

This concept comes in the context of Lenovo’s ongoing experiments with non-traditional screens, following previous prototypes of foldable and dual-screen ThinkPad devices.
