During its participation in the CES 2026 exhibition in Las Vegas, the Japanese company AKEEYO revealed new imaging solutions aimed at enhancing safety and control on the roads, represented by two distinct imaging platforms: the AKY-NV-X2 mirrorless camera and the AKY-730 PRO action camera. These products confirm the company’s commitment to providing superior recording quality and clearer vision for drivers and motorcyclists, benefiting from advanced technical equipment and highly efficient performance in low-light conditions.

The AKY-NV-X2 is an all-in-one driving recorder and in-mirror display system, featuring a large, optimized, high-resolution touchscreen that seamlessly integrates into the vehicle’s interior. One of the most notable upgrades in this second generation is the adoption of a wide lens aperture of F1.0 for the front camera and F1.7 for the rear camera, which greatly enhances the ability to capture light in difficult conditions. The dual 2K cameras provide high-quality images in various scenarios, while the front camera delivers crystal-clear videos in low light thanks to advanced night vision technologies. The system also supports precise location data via GPS, over-the-air (OTA) software updates thanks to WiFi connectivity, and can be linked to tire pressure sensors as an optional extra.

In terms of connectivity, the device has powerful specifications that include dual-band WiFi (on 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies) and Bluetooth 5.0 technology for phone integration and hands-free calling. As for safety, the system includes a host of smart features such as artificial intelligence (AI)-powered blind spot detection, voice control, automatic emergency recording triggers, continuous parking monitoring, and detailed GPS logs, which raise the level of situational awareness and documentation without causing any additional inconvenience while driving.

In addition to the AKY-NV-X2, which is scheduled to be released on the market during the first quarter of 2026, the company introduced the new AKY-730PRO camera, which is dedicated to bicycles and motor uses. This camera captures 4K footage using Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) technology to reduce shake and blur on bad and bumpy roads. The camera features a practical screen that allows a quick look at settings through an easy-to-use interface, and a rugged chassis that makes it usable in harsh weather conditions. It also includes a built-in GPS module to record flight paths and speed, and a wind noise reduction feature for improved sound quality. The built-in battery provides enough power for long recordings, and the camera can be charged via USB while driving (such as on e-bike).

In conclusion, both versions represent attractive and highly useful options for active drivers and cyclists looking for integrated solutions that go beyond the capabilities of traditional cameras, and the company has opened the door to distributors to discuss partnership opportunities around these new products.
