Last month, Apple expanded the scope of the Fitness+ service to include 28 new markets, including Chile, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Taiwan, and also announced its intention to launch the service in Japan in early 2026. Indeed, the service is now officially available in the East Asian country.
Apple set the price of a Fitness+ subscription in Japan at 980 yen per month or 7,800 yen per year. Meanwhile, new users get a one-month free trial, while those who purchase new devices such as Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3 or Powerbeats Pro 2 benefit from a three-month free trial.

In addition, Apple has provided Anytime Fitness subscribers with access to Fitness+ within their current subscription, and has also given users who have a free trial period in Anytime Fitness the ability to benefit from Fitness+ for two months at no additional cost.
In terms of content, Fitness+ subscribers in Japan get access to 12 types of exercises and meditation sessions with audio and translation support in Japanese.
The Artist Spotlight series will also feature works by Japanese music duo YOASOBI, while episodes of the “Time to Walk” audio walking experience will be hosted by Japanese comedian and actress Naomi Watanabe.
