Apple faces clear challenges in developing the Apple Intelligence system powered by artificial intelligence, in addition to the advanced version of its voice assistant Siri.

The company had first revealed Apple Intelligence during the WWDC 2024 conference, but it has not released the promised features yet.

A previous report by journalist Mark Gurman indicated that the upgraded version of Siri might be delayed and not arrive with the iOS 26.4 update this year, due to problems that emerged during internal testing. However, this offer was based on information from within the company and was not an official announcement.

When an Apple executive was asked by CNBC about the matter, the response was short and direct: The launch is still scheduled for 2026. This statement reinforces confidence that the project has not been cancelled, but rather postponed within a new timetable.

Although specifying the year 2026 without an exact date remains a general time frame, expectations indicate that the update may be released after the release of iOS 26.4, and perhaps coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 18 series.

In a related context, Apple modified its plans regarding the Health+ service based on artificial intelligence, as it decided not to launch it as an independent service, but rather to divide it into separate features that will be gradually offered within the current Apple Health application. This trend reflects the presence of internal restructuring, which may be one of the reasons for delays in some artificial intelligence projects.
