Dakahlia Governorate is preparing for the start of the marathon of the 2025 House of Representatives elections during the next few hours, as the electoral committees continue to complete their final preparations before opening their doors to voters, amid a state of alert and raising the maximum level of readiness in all executive and service agencies in the governorate.
Dakahlia includes 657 electoral headquarters, including 795 subcommittees distributed among 10 general committees, with a total of 4 million, 708 thousand and 301 voters who have the right to vote in 10 electoral districts. The number of candidates is 288 on the individual system, competing for 21 seats, in addition to 17 seats on the list system, bringing the total number of seats in the governorate to 38.
The Governor of Dakahlia intensified his field tours inside the electoral headquarters to ensure full readiness before launching, ensuring the availability of backup electrical sources, facilitating movement within the committees, and creating the appropriate environment to receive citizens. He was accompanied during the tour by Mohsen Taha, Director of the General Administration of Councils and Committees, Yasser Al-Jundi, Head of the Center and City of Sherbin, and Director of the Educational Administration of Sherbin.
The Directorate of Health Affairs in Dakahlia raised the level of maximum readiness in all hospitals and health departments, with the spread of preventive medicine teams and presidential initiatives around the committees and the activation of emergency rooms around the clock to ensure urgent medical support throughout the voting period. At the same time, the security services strengthened their procedures to secure the vicinity of the committees, regulate entry and exit movement, and facilitate access for the elderly and people of determination.
The Dakahlia Water and Sanitation Company announced the activation of the emergency plan and the provision of water trucks next to the committees in anticipation of any electrical outages that may affect water pumping, with maintenance teams present around the clock to maintain the continuity of services during voting days.
