A new smartwatch from Lenovo is now available via import. The F101 doesn’t cost much, supports heart rate monitoring and comes with a rotating crown.
The Lenovo F101 smartwatch is now listed on Banggood for around $32, although this is still a pre-order and does not include additional shipping and import fees. Deliveries should not be expected before mid-March. As usual, warranty claims may be difficult to enforce because the seller is based in China.
The price already makes it clear enough that this Lenovo smartwatch is rather basic. Users will not have access to maps, and the wearable does not have a GPS module either. Therefore, the distance traveled during exercise can only be estimated based on the number of steps and stride length rather than measuring it precisely. However, the Lenovo F101 smartwatch has a 1.96-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels and rounded edges, which is supposed to fundamentally improve the feel of use.
The watch is 0.39 inches thick, features a rotating crown and comes with an IP68 rating, though it’s probably not suitable for swimming. However, the wearable device can measure heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, and sleep tracking is also available. Bluetooth phone calls are supported, and the F101 can control music playback on a paired smartphone. Last but not least, Lenovo advertises a typical battery life of about one week.
